A recent Gartner study found that 81% of IT managers found significant cost reductions by consolidating their data center assets.

Ejasent claim their Optimizer product is the only software on the market today that rapidly generates consolidation schedules across complex, heterogeneous data centers. They also claim that companies using Optimizer have forecasted data center cost savings of as much as 50%, resulting in 500% - 700% ROI and as little as 3-4 months payback on their Optimizer purchase.

"Consolidation and standardization of IT infrastructure is one of the top five priorities among enterprises that outsource," says Bruce Caldwell, principal analyst in outsourcing services at Gartner. "The demand to cut costs, starting with increased efficiencies in the IT infrastructure through consolidation, has led to more than $20 billion in major outsourcing contracts over the past year and a half," he adds. "Software tools that help automate the consolidation and standardization process and shorten the time needed to achieve cost reductions, are critical for both outsourcers and enterprises that seek to optimize the IT infrastructure," notes Caldwell.
