Metilinx / HP OpenView Solution Allows Real-Time View on IT Utilization
[UC Newsdesk 2003/6/26]

MetiLinx, has announced they have joined the HP OpenView Solutions Alliance Program at the Solution Partner level with their integration of MetiLinx's flagship iSystems Enterprise software with HP's OpenView Service Navigator. The integration of MetiLinx's solution allows HP OpenView customers to view their IT resource utilization in real-time, and across virtual pools of servers and applications.

MetiLinx's integration enables HP OpenView Service Navigator to leverage MetiLinx's dynamic system topology map, and real-time performance and utilization statistics across virtual pools of servers and across application transaction paths.

Metalinx claim the result of a networked server environment enables customers to achieve:

  • Reduced total cost of operations by 25% to 50%
  • Increased overall system performance in excess of 40%
  • Increased system reliability, availability and uptime to 99.999%

"Our longstanding relationship with HP is a critical piece of accelerating MetiLinx's go-to-market success on a global scale since HP OpenView is the market leader in the Enterprise management market," said Larry Ketchersid, executive director of Services and Support at MetiLinx. "MetiLinx's integration with HP OpenView Service Navigator allows administrators to view resource utilization from a single source for the computing environment. Those capabilities are now packaged in a way that our joint customers can also benefit from the cost savings and performance."
