HP today announced that the Bank of Ireland has selected HP Services as its preferred supplier of information technology infrastructure services and intends to award HP a seven-year IT outsourcing contract worth about $600 million. New Microsoft simplifies security of servers
In a keynote address today at a RSA Conference 2003, Mike Nash, corporate vice president of the Security Business Unit at Microsoft Corp., outlined the next steps in ongoing initiative to simplify secure computing environments for computer users.

HP and P&G announced $3 Billion 10-year contract
HP and The Procter & Gamble Company today announced an agreement in principle to a $3 billion, 10-year IT managed services contract. It aims for HP Services to manage P&G's IT infrastructure, data center operations, desktop and end-user support, network management and some applications development and maintenance support for P&G's global operations in 160 countries.

IBM and MDV unveil plans for grid computing in Malaysia
IBM Malaysia and Malaysian Debt Ventures Berhad (MDV), a wholly-owned company of the Finance Ministry, are combining to promote grid computing and "e-business on demand" technologies.
