Apptix adds on-demand Microsoft's Windows SharePoint Services
Apptix announced the launch of an on-demand service over the net for Microsoft's Windows SharePoint Services. Using Apptix's hosted solution, users, service providers and resellers will be able to quickly and easily deploy Windows SharePoint Services. This next-generation solution for Web-based file sharing and team collaboration is currently in Beta 2 and will be available in mid-2003.

MIT Press Classics back in print with HP's Print-on-demand
HP announced that technology developed by HP Labs is enabling MIT Press to restore 1,750 out-of-print titles for inclusion in the Press' new print-on-demand program, called the MIT Classics Series.

General Dynamics Electric Boat to use On Demand Services from IBM
IBM announced that is has been awarded a multi-year contract by General Dynamics Electric Boat to build the shipbuilding industry's first Internet-based supply chain network. IBM will provide on demand computing infrastructure to automate Electric Boat's supply chain, linking together partners, suppliers and other shipyards in a single integrated organization to help the company accelerate the building of submarines for the U.S. Navy.
