Amazon.com and Carnival Cruise Lines to benefit from Utility Computing [UC Newsdesk 2003/6/30]
According to statements issued by Veritas Software, two of their main clients, Amazon.com and Carnival Cruise Lines will now benefit from their expanded utility computing solutions. With the completion of the acquisition of Precise and its newly expanded set of heterogeneous software solutions, Veritas aims to help customers evolve toward a utility computing model that delivers IT as a measurable service, helping to lower costs and improve system performance and reliability. "We are pleased to see Veritas' business growing into overall system performance," said Doug Eney, vice president of systems at Carnival Cruise Lines. "The combination of Veritas and Precise technologies is a great benefit to us because we can go to Veritas for storage software and performance solutions and forgo the time and costs associated with product integration." |
