Platform Computing joins Macrovision's FLEXnet Alliance Program [UC Newsdesk 2003/10/7]
Macrovision Corporation, a provider of software licensing technologies, has announced that Platform Computing, Digital River, InstallShield, Intraware, Open Channel Solutions, and others have joint its new FLEXnet Alliance Program. FLEXnet is a universal software licensing platform which enable flexible pricing solutions, including usage-based or utility pricing. The new platform provides an integrated, modular licensing platform that eliminates the commonly-used single-point solution approach and the members can leverage it to offer an array of complementary infrastructure, consulting, corporate and value-added solutions to both software vendors and corporate users. FLEXnet also defines a flexible licensing standard that enables both software vendors and their users to take advantage of streamlined pricing, packaging, licensing and protection.
