Salesforce.com now speaks Portuguese too

Salesforce.com, a company that deliver CRM software-as-service, has extended its global functionality with the addition of language and currency capabilities in Portuguese. The company has also announced that Inter-Tel, a communications solutions provider, has become salesforce.com's 7,800th customer with a 520 users license.

The new language support enable salesforce.com to serve its European and Brazilian users better by allowing users to access information in their native tongue in real time. It also offers multi-currency support that allows users to track opportunities, forecast and run reports, and measure the results of campaigns with localized elements. The service now offers multi-language and currency support in 11 including Japanese, German, French, Spanish, Italian and Swedish.

"Salesforce.com's unique Web services-based architecture allows users to log on anywhere in the world and view the necessary data in their native tongue," said Miguel Angel Sanchez Ciria, managing director of ABORDA, a leading Spanish IT consulting firm. "No other CRM product offers global businesses the critical functionality that salesforce.com does. This new Portuguese functionality will go a long way in helping our Southern European sales team share vital customer information and build stronger relationships."

The company has also announced another user number milestone, it's 7800th, Inter-Tel Incorporated, a voice and converged communications solutions provider for small to mid-size enterprises. The company chose salesforce.com's customer relationship management (CRM) service over conventional software vendors on the basis of usability, cost and deployment time, completing initial deployments in less than 60 days.

With more than 7,800 customers and 100,000 subscribers in 110 countries, salesforce.com is a successful application utility and profitable software-as-service provider. Siebel Systems and IBM has recent launched a partnership, crmondemand.com, which is seen by the industry as a strong competitor in the same space.
